The best sun protection for your tattoos!
Whether you're going to a sunny place for a few weeks or you can regularly be found on a terrace, it is super important to protect yourself well against the sun. Especially when you have tattoos. The range of sun protection for tattoos has now been expanded considerably, we have listed the best products for you.

Tattoos and UV radiation
Dosed sunlight can be good for you. Your body produces extra vitamin D through sunlight and usually your skin will also be happy with a few rays of sunshine. The ink of your tattoos is often less happy with it, because UV radiation ensures that your tattoos fade faster. The radiation from the sun breaks down the ink bit by bit, which means that your tattoo will lose contrast and color over time. And since most tattoos have been a considerable investment, that is of course a waste! So make sure you apply plenty of sunscreen, so that your precious pictures will stay beautiful for the longest time.

Sunblock vs sunscreen
Do you prefer a spreadable cream, or do you opt for a sunblock? Both are of course completely fine, the biggest difference is mainly in the use. A sunblock for tattoos is often packaged in a handy stick, ideal to carry in a bag or jacket pocket. This way you always have good sun protection for your tattoos at hand! A sunscreen for tattoos is easier to spread and is often also provided with all kinds of hydrating ingredients. You have to apply it more often, but your tattoos are well protected and your skin remains soft and supple.

Extreme Sunblock SPF 50 - This fine Extreme Sunblock stick with SPF 50 from Easytattoo is easy to spread and protects your tattoo from the sun for a long time. Does not stick, waterproof and easy to apply!

Keep applying regularly
The higher the SPF, the longer you are protected against the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays. Make sure you regularly apply a new layer of sun protection, then the protection remains at a good level. Especially after swimming, it is important to apply a new layer of sun protection.

If all else fails: cover it up!
If you don't have any sun protection at hand or for some other reason can't apply it, then there is only one thing left to do: keep your tattoo out of the sun as much as possible. Make sure your tattoo is covered with your clothing or, if necessary, cover it temporarily, so you can be sure that you won't end up with figurative (or literal?) blisters later.

Fresh tattoo? Out of the sun!
Have you just had a tattoo done? Then it is of course super tempting to show it off during the summer days. However, that is not always a smart idea, especially not on sunny days. Keep your newly done tattoo out of the sun as much as possible and follow the aftercare advice of your tattoo artist. You can only start using sunblock or sun protection once your tattoo has completely healed. Do you have any questions or are you unsure about something? Then contact us or check it with your tattoo artist.
