How does a threadless piercing work?
A threadless piercing jewelry works slightly differently than jewelry with internal threads, or jewelry with normal threads. The piercing accessory of your threadless piercing has a small, thin pin with a rounded end. This pin clamps itself into your piercing bar, so that your threadless ball or accessory stays in place. When you buy a complete threadless piercing or a separate threadless accessory from us, the pin of the accessory is already slightly pre-bent and ready for use. Super handy, because you can wear your jewelry right away!
Adjusting your threadless piercing
Did you buy a threadless piercing from us? Then the pin is already slightly pre-bent. You may want the accessory to be clamped a little tighter, in which case you can bend the pin of your piercing jewelry a little further. Or maybe you bought a threadless accessory that is not yet pre-bent? In that case, you can also use this explanation to perfectly adjust your piercing jewelry, completely to your liking. If you want to bend the pin a little further, first push the pin of the accessory about halfway into the piercing bar. Then carefully bend the accessory to one side, so that the pin becomes slightly more curved. This will cause the pin to clamp itself into the bar. Now push the accessory all the way into place, and check whether it stays firmly in place enough. Is the accessory too tight in the bar? Then carefully bend the pin a little straighter. Do you want the accessory to stay in place a little more firmly? Then you can bend the pin a little more curved. Your threadless piercing jewelry is now completely ready for use!

Help, the pin is coming loose!
It can sometimes happen that the pin of your accessory comes loose. This is of course not very convenient, because you can lose your piercing. Fortunately, this is something you can easily fix yourself or even better: prevent!
Before you start wearing your piercing jewelry without thread, always check first whether the pin is firmly clamped in the bar. The idea is that you need a little force to remove the accessory with your fingers (so not with pliers). If this is too easy, bend the pin a little further so that your balls or disc are clamped a little more firmly. Also regularly check whether this is all still adjusted as desired and adjust it where necessary.
Do not bend too far!
It is important to bend the pin with a little care and attention. Try to make sure that you only bend the pin, and do not apply too much force to the point where the ball or accessory is attached to the pin. If you bend too hard at that point, you may break the accessory. That is not the intention. Therefore, the instructions are repeated once again: push the pin about halfway into the bar, then carefully bend the pin a little and then test again whether it is tight enough.
