What are Silicone Healing Discs?
Silicone Healing Discs are small, transparent discs made of high-quality silicone. The discs offer a solution for lip piercings, tongue piercings but also cartilage piercings. You wear the Healing Discs over the bar of your piercing, so that the silicone disc lies directly on the skin, against the ball of your piercing. Each disc has a diameter of 7 mm and will fit piercing bars and rings with a thickness of 1 mm to 2 mm without any problems. The silicone disc increases the surface that rests directly on your skin, so that any pressure from your piercing jewelry is better distributed. This way, the flexible piercing discs relieve the pressure on and around your piercings while at the same time adapting to your body.
For lip piercings and tongue piercings
Silicone Healing Discs are perfect for all kinds of oral piercings, including lip and tongue piercings. Sometimes a labret bar or barbell can cause irritation to your oral tissue. The tissue in your mouth is very soft, which means that balls and discs can sometimes sink too far into the tissue. The creation of excessive scar tissue is also a common complaint with oral piercings. Silicone Healing Discs help with this. You place the silicone disc between the back of your labret or tongue piercing bar and your lip or tongue, so that the disc lies directly on the (affected) tissue. In this way, the silicone disc ensures that the ball or the back of your labret can no longer sink into your tongue or lip. Irritation is greatly reduced and your piercing can recover perfectly well, without having to fiddle too much with the piercing jewelry. You usually notice results within a week.

These bumps are a common occurrence with various cartilage piercings and are often difficult to remove. In most cases, these bumps are caused by irritation and this causes fluid retention and excessive scar tissue. Wear your Silicone Healing Disc directly on the affected area around your piercing, against the end of your piercing. You will notice that this immediately relieves the pressure and in most cases you will notice results within a week.

Silicone Healing Discs are made of medical grade silicone and can be sterilized in the autoclave. Super handy, because with piercings that are still in the healing phase it is important that you work cleanly. Are you going to do it yourself? Always wash your hands thoroughly before you start working with your piercing jewelry and don't forget to clean the Silicone Healing Discs. You can use a mild piercing soap for this. You can then provide your piercing jewelry and Healing Discs with extra cleaning using a handy alcohol wipe for piercing jewelry.
